An ultralite load for this walk.
The motorcycle trip taught me a lot about how little I need.
I forgot all that ... when we did the Abel Tasman I carried more for three days than I had for 5months in the Americas.
But the Aarn back pack proved itself. I have an ultralite sleeping bag, Icebreaker clothes, hikers wool, sunscreen and insect repellent, and my Tilley hat.
I am packed and ready to walk.
We are walking the Heaphy Track with our friends Danielle and Pete who sailed around D'Urville Island on Steadfast with us last summer.
Bush and Beyond are guiding us along the way.
The weather forecast is looking good for this week.
