Hobson Bay Walkway

The tide is in.

Hobson Bay Walkway beckons.

Come, walk with me.

Let's take a look from above.
Out toward the Waitemata Harbour, and ...
down to Hobson Bay which is bounded by Tamaki Drive and the Southern rail tracks.

The walkway follows the cliff coastline of Hobson Bay.
Pohutukawa trees hold tight to the cliff face and stretch out to the light.

The intertidal zone is alive with beginnings of mangrove forests with oyster encrusted mangrove branches.
Water patterned sandstone rock formations keep company with volcanic rocks.

Wading birds are having a feast as the tide recedes.
